WHO I AM
I am currently a junior at Dover High School in Dover, New Hampshire, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 4.1. During my time in high school, I have met many incredible people and formed lasting friendships. At Dover High School, I have the opportunity to participate in CTE programs, and I chose to focus on Computer Programming. In this class, I gained valuable insights into programming principles; however, the bulk of my programming and web development knowledge comes from online courses I pursued independently on Udemy. Over the past five years, I have successfully completed advanced courses in HTML, CSS, Sass/Scss, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, Web Design, Git and GitHub, Python, and computer networking.
I began my journey as a developer five years ago at the age of twelve. I enrolled in a Python course on Udemy, and it was love at first sight. Initially, I learned Python because I wanted to create Discord bots, which I did for a little over a year, ultimately developing quite a sophisticated program for my age. I even attempted to turn this skill into a business on Fiverr, but it didn’t succeed (I've always had an entrepreneurial instinct). This was my first business endeavor. After that, I became interested in web development. Over the past three years, I’ve designed and developed multiple projects, some of which are simple one-page sites while others are fully-fledged multi-page web applications complete with a database, caching, routing, and all CRUD operations.
While programming is my passion and a significant hobby, it’s not the only thing I do. In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, which I’ve been doing for two seasons now, and it’s been incredible. If I’m not hitting the slopes on weekends, I’m probably playing airsoft. I recently started playing airsoft and have already connected with some great people through it. Last summer, I decided to take a leap and embarked on my second business venture. Despite my first attempt not succeeding, I refused to let that deter me. I launched a mobile detailing service for cars, which turned out to be very successful. This experience taught me how to effectively run and manage a growing business, engage with potential customers, market myself, and create self-made opportunities.

REACT
A powerful front-end framework. Manages UI state and makes making highly interactive websites possible. It is the industry standard.
REACT ROUTER
A routing library for react. Enables routing inside of a react application.
REACT QUERY
A data fetching, syncing, and caching library for react. Synchronizes async state with the UI.
NEXT.JS
A powerful fullstack framework for react. It helps with routing, react server components, image optimization, server side rendering, back-end integration, and so much more. It is another industry standard.
HTML
HTML is the foundational building block of every website.
CSS
CSS makes the HTML pretty! This is what make the design of your whole site.
SCSS
SCSS is a superset of CSS. It adds many extra useful features and makes writing CSS easier.
STYLED COMPONENTS
Yet another way of writing CSS. This is react specific.
JAVASCRIPT
The programming language of the web. Essential for data fetching and so much more.
TYPESCRIPT
A superset of javascript. Essentially a stongly-typed version of javascript.
NODE.JS
A javascript runtime that allows javascript to run outside of the browser. Also provides an ecosystem of useful packages.
NODEMAILER
A module for node.js that allows programs to send emails.
ZOD
A module for node.js that allows for easy validation on data.
MY PROJECTS
BUDGET BUDDY
Budget Buddy is an all-in-one expense, income, and budget tracker. It features a dashboard that presents information about your expenses, income, and budgets. The dashboard includes useful graphs and charts to help visualize your data. The app also integrates authentication and authorization, ensuring that users can create and update their accounts and that only they can access their own data.
HALF-CENTURY HEALTH AND FITNESS
This website was built and designed for Half Century Health and Fitness. It is a simple yet beautiful website that gets the point across. It incorporates a contact form that captures user data and uses Nodemailer on the back end to send an email to a specified destination with all the captured data attached. Additionally, it is highly optimized and utilizes Next.js to leverage React server components.
NATOURS
A simple, yet beautiful, single-page site. This site was part of a project from one of the courses I took. It showcases many advanced CSS properties and tricks.
OMNIFOOD
This is the simplest website on the list. It serves as another project site, built using basic HTML and CSS. Despite its simplicity, it features a beautiful design that incorporates many popular design patterns users expect to see.
THE WILD OASIS (BACK-END APP)
A fake back-end hotel management app used for checking guests in and out, managing bookings, and overseeing cabins. It provides a dashboard to help visualize data, which is stored in a database that the app accesses as needed. Additionally, it incorporates authentication and authorization features, allowing users to create and update their accounts.
